Remedial Massage

Thirty Minutes ~ $55

Forty-Five Minutes ~ $75

Sixty Minutes ~ $90

Ninety Minutes ~ $130

Remedial Massage is used to treat, manage and prevent soft tissue dysfunction through the manual manipulation of muscles and joints, aiming to restore function, reduce pain and discomfort, and build a solid foundation against further damage.

A single treatment session may include a combination of techniques depending on your needs, preferences, physical condition, and specific concerns. These include:

Myofascial Release – Fascia is a band or sheet of connective tissue beneath the skin that attaches, stabilises, encloses, and separates muscles and other internal organs. This massage technique involves slow, steady, guided movements, or superficial strokes, to gently stretch and elongate the fascia.

Deep Tissue Massage – Firm pressure is applied using the forearms, knuckles or elbows to slowly sink through the surface layers of muscle and work directly on the restricted tissues.

Trigger Point Therapy – Trigger points are hypersensitive spots (often mistakenly referred to as ‘knots’) found within the muscles and fascia. A key characteristic of trigger points is pain that refers to areas of the body unrelated to the location of the trigger point itself. Trigger Point Therapy utilises firm static pressure to compress and ‘unwind’ these hypersensitive points within the muscle.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) – The lymphatic system is part of the body’s immune system, it is a network of tissues and organs that transport fluid to and from the tissues and helps rid the body of toxins, waste and other unwanted materials. MLD focuses on assisting the lymphatic system in transporting fluid and removing waste products from the body. This style of massage does not require any oil, and utilises gentle superficial stroking movements, applying no more than 8 grams of pressure.

Remedial Massage assists in the treatment and management of chronic joint and muscular conditions, aids injury, postpartum or post-surgery rehabilitation and recovery, helps the body to establish a foundation against future injuries, releases tension, eases aches and pains, improves mental clarity, sleep quality, and circulation, detoxifies the body, reduces swelling in the tissues, strengthens immunity and encourages the body’s own natural healing processes, boosts physical performance by helping the muscles prepare for and recover from exertion, increases flexibility and range of motion, balances the nervous system, thereby stabilising mood and calming the mind, body and spirit, reconnects you with your body and it’s needs, and gives you the opportunity to truly focus on yourself.

A Personal Note on Remedial Massage from Chloe: "Remedial Massage is the foundation on which I built my healing practices. My experiences with it have been life-changing, not only for myself but for all the clients who have experienced its healing benefits. Remedial Massage is incredibly versatile and adaptable. All treatment sessions can be tailored to suit all needs and preferences. If you are hesitant about experiencing a session because you're afraid it will hurt or you aren't sure what to expect, please know that I tailor the treatment to suit YOU, your needs, preferences, and comfort level, it is not a one-size-fits-all type of practice."

Relaxation Massage

Thirty Minutes ~ $55

Forty-Five Minutes ~ $75

Sixty Minutes ~ $90

Ninety Minutes ~ $130

Drawing from both Swedish and Ka Huna (traditional Hawaiian) massage styles, Relaxation Massage aims to reduce stress and tension, and promote an overall feeling of relaxation and relief.

Medium to light pressure, and slow, flowing movements are used to facilitate relaxation of the mind, body and spirit, the warming and gentle releasing and relaxing of the muscles, the flushing of metabolic waste from the tissues, and the stimulation and improvement of circulation and immune function.

Consider a Relaxation massage if your goal is simply to rest, relax, and restore, it will have you floating home.

A Personal Note on Relaxation Massage from Chloe: "Relaxation Massage can be highly beneficial if you are willing to surrender to the magic of it. A typical Relaxation Massage follows a set sequence that does not involve deep tissue or trigger point techniques. Relaxation Massage focuses solely on superficial relaxation (unless you count the deeper mental-emotional relaxation you can experience), not on releasing specific areas of tension or targeting joint and muscular conditions. If you are looking for targeted relief, you would be better off booking a Remedial Massage session, but if relaxation is what you are after, then this is the therapy for you.

Pregnancy Massage

Thirty Minutes ~ $55

Forty-Five Minutes ~ $75

Sixty Minutes ~ $90

Pregnancy massage involves the use of Relaxation massage techniques performed under set up and draping conditions that have been designed specifically for the care, comfort, safety, relaxation and relief of pregnant women.

Extra towels are used for draping the body, and pillows will support the head, tummy, and legs, as you lay on your side. Light to medium pressure is used to provide a relaxing, relieving, and restorative massage experience, although deeper, more specific massage techniques can be used where persistent pain and discomfort is felt.

Pregnancy massage has similar benefits to Remedial and Relaxation massage and should be considered if you are experiencing pregnancy related neck or back pain, poor circulation, fluid retention, muscle cramps or spasms, sciatic pain, constipation, fatigue, stress, anxiety, insomnia, headaches, or high blood pressure.

A Personal Note on Pregnancy Massage from Chloe: "There is a lot of conflicting information out there regarding pregnancy massage, so much so that many massage and reflexology practitioners refuse to work on pregnant women. The most important thing to do when seeking pregnancy massage is ensure that you give a detailed medical history (a history of blood clots, miscarriages, or high risk pregnancies are contraindications to pregnancy massage) and to maintain communication with the massage therapist throughout the treatment. If you experience any adverse affects such as dizziness or nausea then it's best to stop the session, drink plenty of water, and avoid getting off the table too quickly or driving immediately following the massage (rest for a few minutes until the dizziness has passed)."

Reflexology

Thirty Minutes ~ $45

Forty-Five Minutes ~ $60

Sixty Minutes ~ $75

Reflexology is a combination of energy and body work based on the understanding that the body and all its systems are reflected on the feet, hands, and ears, like anatomical mirror images, and that we can treat the entire body just by massaging one or more of these areas. For example, if we manipulate where the lung is reflected on the foot (referred to as the lung reflex), we can directly affect the organ itself. Issues present throughout the body can be felt, and treated, through the corresponding reflexes on the hands, feet and ears.

Reflexology stimulates a reaction in the body, encouraging its natural healing processes and releasing blockages in the body’s energy network. Reflexology restores balance to the nervous system, relieves stress, brings about relaxation, boosts lymphatic function, improves sleep quality, detoxifies the body, increases vitality, and provides relief from pain and discomfort. This holistic healing therapy can be used to aid in the management of conditions such as constipation, indigestion, headaches, sinusitis, allergies, insomnia, stress, depression, anxiety, and chronic fatigue.

A Personal Note on Reflexology from Chloe: "This therapy completely blew me away. I had no idea what it was or how it worked before I signed up to learn it, and I certainly wasn't expecting it to make such a profound difference to the lives of those who received it. It genuinely has to be experienced to be believed and understood. One of the best parts about receiving reflexology is being told which parts of the body each reflex point corresponds to, you'll be amazed at how closely something as simple as your hand or foot can reflect what is going on throughout the rest of your body."

Reiki

Thirty Minutes ~ $55

Forty-Five Minutes ~ $75

Sixty Minutes ~ $90

Ninety Minutes ~ $130

Reiki is understood as “universal life force energy”. This energy is everywhere, residing in all things and animating all life. Life force energy nourishes the organs and cells of our bodies, supporting them in their vital functions. When the flow of energy throughout the body is blocked or disrupted, it can affect the overall function of the body.

As a healing technique, Reiki operates on the belief that a practitioner may channel this life force energy into a recipient by means of touch, or by working in the energy field surrounding the body. Reiki then flows through the affected parts of the body, charging them with positive energy and causing any blockages, disruptions or negative energy to dissipate. This re-establishes the free flow of energy throughout the body, stimulating the body’s natural healing processes, clearing, purifying, rejuvenating and re-energising the recipient.

Reiki has a similar effect on the body-mind as meditation, acting on the physical, mental-emotional and spiritual levels to relax, calm and clear. Studies have also shown Reiki is effective as part of a pain management regime, speeding up wound healing and recovery time, lowering blood pressure, and reducing stress.

Seek Reiki if you are feeling scattered, unbalanced, stressed, emotional, blocked, low in energy or fatigued, if you experience difficulty sleeping, are experiencing great change or upheaval, or if you simply wish to relax, clear your mind, raise your vibration, receive universal guidance, and connect to your highest self.

A Personal Note on Reiki from Chloe: "Reiki sessions are deeply personal experiences. When one is open to receiving, there is no limit to the benefits you may experience. Personally, Reiki has made me the practitioner I am today. It has removed blockages from my mental-emotional states that were inhibiting my personal growth, and it has reconnected me with both my physical body and my spirituality, which has helped me maintain my overall health and well-being. Reiki has helped guide me back to myself and facilitated my deepest most profound healing experiences, both personally and with my clients. This is another therapy that has to be experienced to be truly appreciated and understood, and I could not recommend it highly enough."

Acupressure

Thirty Minutes ~ $45

Forty-Five Minutes ~ $60

Sixty Minutes ~ $75

Acupressure is another subtle, yet extremely powerful combination of energy and bodywork. It involves the application of gentle finger pressure at various points on the body. These points are located along energy channels, known as meridians, and are the same as those used in Acupuncture. The finger pressure allows blocked energy to flow, and harmony to return to our energy system, encouraging our bodies natural healing processes.

While you may or may not feel the actual energy flow, you will usually feel refreshed and deeply relaxed both during and following the treatment. Acupressure does not just treat our energetic imbalances. It helps us uncover and understand the underlying patterns that are causing our ill health. Self-awareness and understanding are the keys to long lasting change, and Acupressure is a powerful support for the journey of inner exploration, understanding, and ultimate healing.

A Personal Note on Acupressure from Chloe: "It seems that along with Reflexology and Reiki, Acupressure is another therapy that is quite difficult to explain to someone who has not experienced it. All I can say is, it's fascinating to perform. Somehow, the simple gentle holding of these points releases tension in the physical body, and the feeling of the energy flow just beneath the skin as we hold each point is pretty amazing. The quality of the flow genuinely changes as each point is held, it's pretty awesome to experience."

Ka Huna Bodywork

Sixty Minutes ~ $90

Ninety Minutes ~ $130

Ka Huna bodywork, also known as Lomilomi or Hawaiian Temple Style Massage, is an ancient traditional practice that originated in the South Pacific. It was reserved for royalty, used during Rites of Passage and times of great change as a transformational healing massage.

Ka Huna is a full body treatment wherein the practitioner performs long, flowing, dynamic Hula and Tai Chi style movements to massage the recipients’ body. Music is played throughout the session and the flow of the massage is attuned to the rhythms of the music, thereby harmonising the various rhythms within your mind, body and soul.

The primary goal of Ka Huna Bodywork is to support you through change, restoring and maintaining balance and harmony within you, mind, body and soul, thereby making transitions more graceful. Consider a Ka Huna session when you are feeling drained or fatigued, to ease tired, aching, or stiff muscles, during times of change or transition in your life, if you are feeling stuck and are unsure of your path or direction, if you are ready to move on from something that has ended or no longer serves you, if you are feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted and need to feel nurtured, or if you are suffering from excess fluid retention.

A Personal Note on Ka Huna Bodywork from Chloe: "This style of bodywork is incredible to receive. It feels like a sacred ritual, where letting go and surrendering to the experience is the key to getting the most out of it. Each stroke feels like a gentle wave, washing away everything that is limiting your growth and potential. If you can imagine the way the world feels after a big storm, clean, clear, fresh, renewed, that's what it feels like to walk out of a Ka Huna session."

 Polynesian Floorwork

Thirty Minutes ~ $55

Forty-Five Minutes ~ $75

Sixty Minutes ~ $90

Ninety Minutes ~ $130

Polynesian Floorwork shares similarities with Shiatzu, Swedish and Thai massage. The recipient remains fully clothed and lays on a mat, futon or low bodywork table as the practitioner guides the recipients’ body through a series of movements and manual manipulations to stretch, release and relax the muscles.

Assisted stretching guides the muscles into a deeper stretch than can be achieved alone. This style of bodywork increases flexibility, restores range of motion, eases tension and discomfort, gently releases muscular restrictions, stimulates circulation and lymphatic drainage, and improves overall well-being.

A Personal Note on Polynesian Floorwork from Chloe: "I love this therapy so much! It is so simple and yet SO beneficial! After receiving Polynesian Floorwork you will feel so open, with a freedom of movement and range of motion you never knew you could achieve. Stretching is my top recommendation when it comes to aftercare advice for all my clients, and this therapy encompasses all the benefits of both massage and stretching."

Hot Stone Massage

Sixty Minutes ~ $95

Ninety Minutes ~ $135

Hot Stone Massage Therapy uses both physical and metaphysical energies to balance the mind, body and spirit, connecting both client and practitioner to the natural elements of the Earth.

Inspiration is drawn from Kahuna Bodywork, wherein the massage techniques mimic firm yet gentle streams of flowing water, like the steady flow of the ocean. Volcanic basalt stones, naturally smoothed by the action of rivers, streams and oceans, are heated in water before being placed on the body’s key energy points and being used to massage the muscles.

Naturally smoothed stones, as opposed to mechanically polished, retain their energetic connection to the earth and their natural healing geomagnetic properties, increasing their overall therapeutic benefits. The addition of heat enhances the benefits of traditional massage by increasing vasodilation, improving oxygen and nutrient delivery to your cells, increasing waste removal, gently relaxing the muscles by warming the superficial layers of tissue, and providing a deeper sense of relaxation and stress relief. Consider a Hot Stone massage when in need of deep relaxation, to enhance the benefits of regular massage, to connect to the energies of the Earth, and to experience a truly nurturing therapy.

A Personal Note on Hot Stone Massage from Chloe: "This is one of my personal favourites to both give and receive. Hot Stone Massage is magical, I absolutely love it, there's something so ancient and powerful about using heated stones to heal the body. The heat emanating from the stones will not burn you, they need to be cool enough for me to hold and I will never allow them to rest on your bare skin. As they move, it feels as if they are absorbing all your aches and pains, smoothing out every tight knotted muscle, truly taking you out of your mind and into your body."
